Day 5: New York City

Today we woke up early and headed for our and a half train rides again. We arrived at Penn Station and then took subways to the Bronx. Here we set up three prayer stations. Many of us say that we may have prayed more in Harlem, but today we handed out many books of the Gospel of John in both English and Spanish. People in the Bronx readily came up and asked for prayer.  That was something we hadn't seen in Harlem.  Today was a true blessing for spreading the Gospel.
We then headed over to Times Square for dinner at "Ellen's Stardust Diner" where we enjoyed a great meal along with splendid entertainment. The workers at the diner are "wannabe" Broadway Stars who audition daily and perform at the diner to earn a living. The waiters put on amazing performances with songs from The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, and The Phantom of the Opera.
Around 5:30, we traveled around Times Square in our groups until 6:00 when we met up atthe Time Square Church. Here we attended a prayer service and a youth service that was so enjoyable and unique. The service really moved us all and you could feel the love for Christ in the church.
We ended the night with a two hour train ride, not arriving home until 11:30! We spent the next hour under a disco ball relaxing before we headed off to bed.
Thank you so much for your prayers. The trip has been so much fun and such a blessing. Please pray for safe travels tomorrow. Also please remember to keep both the Switzerland team and the Hungary teams in our prayers. We wish them safety and true blessings on their trips!  See you soon!
