Switzerland Day 1 and 2

Switzerland at Last

We bid farewell to our Hungary-bound comrades.  Before being summoned to our jet, we came upon a young unicorn giving free rides.  Once on the jet, we tried to sleep.  About seven hours later, we arrived in Switzerland.
On the train ride from Zurich to the Don Camillo Christian Center, we rode through urban and rural Switzerland. We saw the following beasts: several cows, horses, ponies, one or two dogs, at least one cat, a hawk, pigeons and other fowl, and a yeti.  One (of these?) cows apparently escaped, as we saw a "Missing Cow" flyer in the city of Bern on day 2.
When we arrived at the Don Camillo Center we were given a tour of the center by our hosts.  We learned a great deal about the history and connection of the center with the Moravian tradition.  For dinner we were served authentically Swiss food...all the way from the cheese to the salad to the potatoes.
We enjoyed our first devotional time in the petite chapel, which resembled an underground cave.

Day 2: Bern
After hiking to the train station, we rode the "Steel Goat" (aka the train) to the thriving historic city of Bern, which is Switzerland's capital. We walked through the city center and admired the architecture and cultural history.  Some highlights include: Rose Garden, statues, fountains, bear pit, the zytglogge (clock - which was very impressive), Munster(large gothic cathedral) .

We are enjoying the hospitality and fellowship with the people of the Don Camillo Center.  Tomorrow we will work with them on refinishing some old windows!
