Notes from the Swiss Travelers:

Question of the day ( What have we learned so far about the work we've been doing?"
Our jobs here was to refurbish windows. This consisted of sand papering the white paint off, and then prepping them to be repainted.  I have never done this type of work before, and was grateful to be able to try something new. We had a lot of enjoyable laughs at the fact that we had to spend a lot of time taking the paint off just to repaint it! I'm glad to be able to contribute something that'll last for a while at the Don Camillo Center. Today, I had learned how to say "Please shut the window", in French, but I do have to say that I have forgotten it.. nonetheless, I am enjoying most definitely enjoying their fellowship and great hospitality. I bid thee farewell.

Switzerland is an amazing place.  The Don Camillo Center is full of great people dedicated to not only their mission of living a Christian life, but also living in general.  They are happy people, that are kind, active, smart, and eat very healthy.  Three main points:
- A community filled with God's presence,
- An orderly, clean environment,
- And many windows

Today we continued the window cleaning adventure. The team has finished 1/2 of the job so far, and so far it has been a great pleasure to work along side the Don Camillo community and learn how to Swiss do things :)

ps. Knock knock!

Switzerland has been a great experience, I've learned a lot. I really love the Don Camillo community it is a great blessing to experience Swiss culture. I love this community so much that I'm praying God will get me lost at the airport so I can stay (and knowing how I am, IT WON'T BE HARD).
Highlights so far:
- On the train ride from Zurich to Berne to Neuchatel, I was dismayed at the lack of beauty in the scenery (due to the absence of leaves, and the overcast weather); I began to ponder whether or not I was indeed in Switzerland. I made a promise to God that I would maintain a good attitude regardless of whether or not I enjoyed the scenery. The next day on our train ride to Berne I found I was able to enjoy a beauty in the scenery I had not seen before. What's really cool is that it was even more overcast than it had been the previous day.

The last two days we joined the Don Camillo folks for a time of prayer right before lunch.  Although we didn't understand the language, we still felt a connection- an unexplainable unity in Christ.  May this remind us all of the future new heaven and new earth- were every tribe, tongue and nation worship the Lord.
